Under Regulation 8 of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1997, a registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) is required to attend at least one continuous education program (CEP) within one year for the purpose of renewing their registration.
There are six (6) classifications of CEP activities that fulfil the requirement under Regulation 8, namely:
a. Meeting
b. Services
c. Formal education and training until completion of study
d. Courses, seminar, conference, dialogue, workshop, convention or continuous professional development (CPD) talk on occupational safety and health
e. Other courses
f. Informal learning and educational activities
Explanation regarding CEP classifications and point calculation criteria can be found in the Guidelines for the CEP Point Calculation System.
This guide for CEP program registration specifically applies to programs in the form of courses, seminar, conference, dialogue, workshop, conventions or CPD talks on occupational safety and health for the purpose of gaining accreditation by the Department.
All applications for the Continuous Education Program (CEP) starting from 1 April 2021 must be submitted through the MySKUD system, accessible via the Single Sign-On (SSO) platform at MyKKP. Manual submission will not be processed.
