- To organise and carry out Indoor Air Quality audits.
- To process the application for new registration (and renewal) of Hygiene Technician 1 (HT1)/IAQ Assessor, and monitor existing registrants.
- To process the application for new registration (and renewal) of Hygiene Technician 1 (HT1)/IAQ Assessor training centres, and monitor existing registrants.
- To manage chemical monitoring technical equipment of the Department.
- To review and process the application of asbestos removal and inspection.
- To carry out investigation on chemical related complaints.
- Carrying out enforcement Chemical Weapons Convention.
- Monitor and coordinate implementation Prior Informed Consent (PIC) below Rotterdam Convention.
- Monitor and coordinate implementation Minamata Convention.
- Monitor and coordinate implementation Stockholm Convention.
- Focal point for chemical data mapping and data submissions from state departments.
- To assist in management of specialized and complex technical equipment – FTIR and GCMS.
- To manage the procedure and documentation of officers that participate in chemical management programs at national and international level.
- To process the application for registration of SOHELP training centre and trainer, and monitor existing registered training centres.
