CLASS 2013 Rules Teaching Center
The Occupational Safety and Health (Classification, Labelling and Safety Data Sheets of Hazardous Chemicals) Regulations 2013 (CLASS Regulations) were gazetted on 11 October 2013 and came into force on 12 October 2013. The main provisions contained in these regulations involve the classification, packaging, labelling, safety data sheets and inventory of hazardous chemicals.
The provisions in the CLASS Regulation require specific training including methods for classifying chemicals, determining hazard pictograms, hazard statements, precautionary statements and preparing safety data sheets. These elements are technical matters that require specific training by training centers with highly knowledgeable instructors, quality teaching modules and in line with the provisions of the legislation in force.
Therefore, to ensure that the standards of training provided by teaching centers can be controlled, recognition will be given to teaching centers that meet the established criteria.
