  1. Act as a coordinator and expert consultant in the implementation Assessment of The Health Risks Arising From the Use of Chemicals Hazardous to Health at the Workplace 3rd Edition (CHRA 3rd Edition).
  2. Monitor and approve alternative methods for assessing the health risks of chemicals (CHRA)
  3. Processing applications and approvals for generic health risk assessments of chemicals (generic CHRA)
  4. Managing online system development Simple Risk Assessment and Control for Chemicals (SiRAC). 
  5. Processing new (and renewal) registration applications for Clamps (CHRA Assessor), and monitoring of existing Clamps.
  6. Processing new registration applications (and renewals) for training centers and Pengapit trainers (CHRA Assessor), and monitoring of existing training centers.
  7. Conduct internal training for Department officers on chemical risk assessment to health (CHRA)
  8. Manage and conduct chemical risk assessments
  9. Plan and coordinate strategic enforcement for CLASS Regulation 2013  
  10. Monitor industry compliance with CLASS Regulation 2013 
  11. To update the Chemical Inventory submitted by the industry. 
  12. Act as system administrator for the Chemical Information Management System (CIMS) and manage system maintenance.
  13. Process applications for registration of CLASS Regulations teaching centers and trainees, as well as monitor existing registrations.
  14. Reassess the classification of hazardous chemicals based on Industry Code of Practice on Chemicals Classification and Hazard Communication (Amendment) 2019: Part 1
