• Process new applications, renewals and monitor Competent Persons (Companies) for Manufacturing, Repairing and Altering Steam Boilers and Pressure Vessels.
• Process new applications, renewals and monitor Competent Persons (Companies) who install and operate elevators, escalators and moving walkways.
• Process new applications, renewals and monitor Competent Persons (Companies) of Lifting Machinery Manufacturers.
• Process new applications, renewals and monitor Competent Persons (Companies) for Installing and Opening Lifting Machinery.
• Process new applications, renewals and monitor Qualified Persons (OYB) for Elevators.
• Process new applications, renewals and monitor Qualified Persons (OYB) for Lifting Machinery.
• Process registration applications and monitor Authorized Inspection Bodies.

B. UNIT FYK & OYK REGULATION

• Receive and coordinate complaints regarding misconduct of Competent Persons.
• Conducting investigations and disciplinary proceedings on complaints from Competent Persons.
• Carrying out punitive actions as detailed in the law

C. UNIT EXAMINATION AND CERTIFICATION UNIT

• Process new applications, renewals and monitor Competent Persons such as Safety and Health Officers.
• Process new applications, renewals and monitor the Safety and Health Officer Training Centre, Crane Operator Training Centre and Scaffolding Operator Training Centre.
• Process new registration applications, renewals and monitor the CEP Continuing Education Program.
• Prepare and update examination syllabus and assessment scheme for the recognition of Competent Persons.
• Processing applications to sit for the Steam Boiler Engineer competency certificate examination.
• Conducting Steam Boiler Engineer competency certification examinations.
• Processing the results of the Steam Boiler Engineer competency certificate examination.
• Coordinate the Steam Boiler Engineer competency certificate examination panel meeting.
• Develop modules, syllabus and examination questions for the Steam Boiler Engineer competency certificate.
