About JKKP

The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) of Malaysia is a Department under the Ministry of Human Resources. The Department is responsible for ensuring the safety, health and welfare of people at work, and protecting others from safety and health hazards arising from occupational activities in various sectors, namely:

  • Manufacturing
  • Mining and Quarrying
  • Construction
  • Hotels and Restaurants
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
  • Transport, Storage and Communication
  • Public Service and Statutory Authorities
  • Facilities – Gas, Electricity, Water and Cleaning Services
  • Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Business Services
  • Wholesale and Retail Business

The Department is a government agency given the responsibility to administer and enforce legislation on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in this country with the vision of becoming an organization that leads the country in forming a safe and healthy work culture towards improving the quality of life while working.
