Indoor Air Quality Assessor (IAQ Assessor) Training Centre
In 2010, the Department introduced the Indoor Air Quality Industry Code of Practice 2010 to ensure that workers and residents are protected from poor air quality that can affect their health and well-being, and thereby reduce their productivity. Therefore, employers are required to conduct Indoor Air Quality Assessments, which are the obligations of employers and self-employed persons towards their employees as stipulated under Section 15 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA), while Section 17 of the OSHA stipulates that this obligation is also a general obligation of employers and self-employed persons towards persons other than their employees.
Indoor Air Quality Assessment is a technical matter that requires specific training by teaching centers that have highly knowledgeable instructors, quality teaching modules and are in line with the provisions of the law in force.
Therefore, to ensure that the training standards provided by training centers can be controlled and meet the set objectives, recognition will be given to training centers that meet the criteria set out in this guide.
