a) Juruteknik Higien 2 (HT2) merupakan orang yang bertanggungjawab menjalankan pemeriksaan dan ujian keberkesanan kelengkapan kawalan kejuruteraan di tempat kerja sebagaimana yang dikehendaki di bawah Peraturan-Peraturan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (Penggunaan dan Standard Pendedahan Bahan Kimia Berbahaya Kepada Kesihatan) 2000.

b) Seseorang majikan hendaklah melantik, menggaji atau mengambil kerja orang kompeten yang dipanggil HT2 bagi melaksanakan pemeriksaan dan ujian keberkesanan kelengkapan kawalan kejuruteraan mengikut standard yang telah ditetapkan oleh Jabatan.

c) Juruteknik Higien 2 hendaklah:

• Conduct inspections and testing of the effectiveness of engineering control equipment in the workplace;
• Prepare and submit a complete report of the inspection and effectiveness testing to the employer within 30 days after the completion of the inspection and testing;
• Present the results of inspections and testing of the effectiveness of engineering control equipment and propose improvement measures to the employer within 30 days after the completion of inspections and testing;
• Submit a brief report to the Director General within 30 days after the completion of the inspection and testing; and
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as specified in the Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Exposure Standards of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2000.
