Apart from all the main activities, the Department is also responsible for carrying out various important tasks related to occupational safety and health.
Secretariat of the MNKKP
Serve as the secretariat and provide input to the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (MNKKP).
Technical Analysis
Conduct technical analysis and identify measures to control safety and health hazards in the workplace.
Competent Person Examination
Implement examination and assessment syllabus and conduct examinations for the recognition of Competent Persons.
Firm Recognition
Conducting recognition work for capable firms and organizations.
Hazard Installation Inspection
Identify, review safety reports and emergency action plans, and conduct inspections and audits on major hazard installations and non-major hazard installations.
Health Hazard Monitoring
Implement health hazard monitoring in the workplace.
Monitoring Report Review
Review health hazard monitoring reports by Competent Persons.
