Celebration of World Day for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH DAY)
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated on 28 April worldwide since 2003 by the International Labour Organization (ILO). It emphasizes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases through tripartite efforts and social dialogue.
This celebration has also been celebrated to commemorate victims of industrial accidents and occupational diseases by Trade Unions around the world. The World Day for Safety and Health at Work Celebration is also celebrated every year in this country as a support in emphasizing the safety, health and welfare of workers. This celebration is one of the regular annual activities organized by the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (MNKKP) which is chaired by the Deputy Minister of Human Resources.
